Included in this list are MGM, Harrahs, Caesars, Venetian, Station Casinos, Plaza/El-Ad, and Crown Melco. Practice Geography Headquartered in the United States this firm currently has additional offices in Atlantic City, Macao, and Zhuhai (PRC). Candidate Qualifications The successful candidate will be a highly motivated licensed architect (optional) that is either currently living in the HCMC or has extensive recent experience in the area. He or she will have insight and sensitivity to the business culture of the region and its building practices. Additional considerations included: 6-10 years post-graduate experience in Architecture Fluent in English, French + Vietnamese written and oral Design oriented Detail oriented Working understanding of architectural technology Ability to work in a team setting and understands the design of sustainability. Responsibilities encompass the development of client and practice strategies, market positioning and leadership within a design practice focused on higher education facilities projects - campus life, libraries, performing arts, science and technology, and sports and recreation. • At least 15 years architectural experience, inclusive of 5 or more years experience in marketing, client development, and/or management of a studio, practice group, or regional office. • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture. • LEED accreditation preferred. • Versatile, self-motivated and articulate. • Available to travel within and outside the USA. • Fluency in languages in addition to English helpful. • Must be currently eligible to work in the U.S. Experience • Experience developing relationships with new and existing clients that would enhance the firm’s competitive advantage and positioning in the higher education market sector. • Experience in the development and direction of large-scale, programmatically complex architectural projects, especially within the higher education market sector. • Proven track record of success in working with higher education clients, including participation in development of client relationships that lead to new and continuing business. • Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to develop collaborative relationships that lead to successful results, whether within the firm or externally – with clients, consultants, and other key participant in the design and development process. • Strong presentation skills with the ability to be articulate and convincing in interviews and other presentations. • A commitment to the principles of sustainable design and experience integrating them on specific projects. • Experience with management of an architectural firm, regional office, practice group or profit center.
